The fallout from the devastating Corriedale crash hits Weatherfield hard in tonight’s unmissable Coronation Street episode (Tuesday 6th January, 8:30pm on ITV1).

The community is reeling from the tragic death of beloved vicar Billy Mayhew, killed in the multi-vehicle pile-up that brought chaos to a remote road between Weatherfield and Hotten. As grief sweeps through the cobbles, Todd Grimshaw and Summer Spellman cling to each other in the hospital waiting room, heartbroken and searching for comfort – while a guilt-ridden Theo Silverton watches from the shadows.

Todd later takes a devastated Summer back to his flat for some quiet, but the tension explodes when Theo arrives home too. Horrified by the reminder of the crash – and what really happened inside that burning minibus – Theo manipulates his way back into Todd’s life, preying on his vulnerability despite his recent violent behaviour. Meanwhile, George Shuttleworth praises Theo as a “hero” for supposedly trying to save Billy at the scene, completely unaware of the dark truth. Can Theo live with the weight of his actions, or will his secrets start to unravel?

Over at the hospital, fury erupts as Kevin Webster confronts a concussed Debbie by Carl’s bedside. Carl, fighting for his life, desperately tries to convince his sister that she was driving during their crash – but Kevin insists Carl is lying to cover his own guilt. How will Debbie react when the fog clears? Will Carl finally confess?

In the maternity unit, a doctor breaks the news to Shona Platt that she’s being transferred to Weatherfield General for specialist checks. As David wheels her out of Hotton General, they pass a mysterious woman named Jodie – the stranger found injured by DS Kit Green after the pile-up. Jodie freezes in shock, staring after them. Who is she, and why does she recognise David and Shona?

Elsewhere, Ryan Connor helps an injured Carla Connor and Lisa Swain into No.6, where Betsy Swain is overcome with remorse. Blaming herself for not seeing that Carla was right about “psychopath” Becky all along, Betsy storms upstairs to give the adults space. Carla then confronts Lisa about Becky’s explosive claim that the pair slept together – how will Lisa respond? Later, outside Billy’s flat, Carla surveys the growing pile of floral tributes as Roy Cropper offers a gentle arm around her shoulder. Can Carla and Lisa ever move past the betrayal and turmoil of recent months?
