Netflix’s Leanne is titled after its star, Leanne Morgan, but it also features a great cast of talented comedians to support her in her first sitcom. Leanne was created by Chuck Lorre, a co-creator of The Big Bang Theory, and is another take on a modern sitcom. Leanne has also already been compared to Reba and other sitcoms named after their stars, like Seinfeld and Roseanne.

Since Leanne follows its titular character leaning on her family after finding out that her husband has cheated on her, Netflix’s sitcom has several other comedians who lend their talents to the show. Actor: Leanne Morgan was born in Adams, Tennessee. Morgan had her breakthrough role as a comedian in her first comedy special for  Netflix, Leanne Morgan: I’m Every Woman, in 2023. Morgan had a popular comedy career on social media prior to her Netflix special, however, and her 2018 special So Yummy attracted quite a bit of attention as well.

Kristen Johnston as Carol

Actor: Kristen Johnston was born in Washington, D.C. Johnston had her breakthrough role in 1996 when she began playing Sally Solomon on Third Rock from the Sun. Since then, Johnston has taken on a variety of mainly comedic roles in movies like Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and television shows like The Righteous Gemstones, where she played May-May Montgomery.

Character: Kristen Johnston plays Carol in Leanne. Carol is Leanne’s sister, and she’s much more outgoing and outrageous than her sibling is. She’s also Leanne’s best friend and her closest confidant as she deals with the fallout of Bill’s infidelity and the challenges of reentering the dating pool.

Ryan Stiles as Bill

Actor: Ryan Stiles was born in Seattle, Washington. Stiles had his breakthrough and arguably most prominent role as Lewis on The Drew Carey Show in 1995. Stiles would star on that show for years, though his relationship with Carey started with his improvisational comedy on Drew Carey’s earlier show, Whose Line Is It Anyway? Stiles has been involved with that series and made cameos on other comedy shows ever since.

Character: Ryan Stiles plays Bill on Leanne. Bill is Leanne’s husband who cheated on her with another woman at the beginning of the show. Despite his infidelity, however, Bill tries to reconnect with Leanne and rekindle the spark of their relationship, only to be punched in the mouth for his nerve.
