ABC’s breakout crime-comedy High Potential has officially scored a second season — and fans better buckle up. Kaitlin Olson reprises her role as the unfiltered genius Morgan Gillory, but this time, things take a sharper turn. The stakes are higher, the mysteries murkier, and Morgan? She’s changed — and no one knows quite what she’s planning.
Inspired by the French hit HPI, the series follows Morgan, a brilliant single mom with a 160 IQ who went from janitor at the LAPD to a crime-solving consultant overnight. Her offbeat charm, chaotic brilliance, and total disregard for the rulebook turned heads in Season 1 — and earned Olson rave reviews and a whole new wave of fans.
After an explosive debut in Fall 2024, which pulled in over 5.7 million viewers per episode, ABC wasted no time locking in Season 2. Production kicked off in May 2025, with the cast — including Daniel Sunjata and Javicia Leslie — teasing fans with behind-the-scenes clips on TikTok.
Unlike Season 1, which premiered midseason, High Potential will be part of ABC’s primetime fall lineup, airing Tuesday nights starting this September.
