After much anticipation, Eminem has officially dropped the trailer for STANS â a special documentary produced by the rapper himself that explores the complex relationship between him and his most loyal fanbase. The film is set to premiere worldwide on August 7, promising to be one of the hottest music and film events of the summer.
đ Global Release in Over 1,600 Theaters
According to announcements from AMC and Trafalgar Releasing, STANS will have a limited run at 135 AMC theaters across the U.S. from August 7 to August 10, with at least two showings per day. Additionally, the film will have a special week-long run at AMC Empire 25 in New York to qualify for awards consideration.
Internationally, Trafalgar Releasing plans to launch the documentary in over 1,600 theaters across more than 50 countries and territories, also starting August 7. Detailed screening schedules by country will be announced on July 24.

STANS is directed by Emmy-winning investigative journalist Steven Leckart. The filmâs title draws inspiration from Eminemâs iconic 2000 song Stan, which tells the story of an obsessive fan and has become one of the rapperâs most influential tracks. The term âstanâ has since entered global vocabulary, officially added to the Oxford English Dictionary as a symbol of devoted fandom.
The documentary combines stylized reenactments, rare archival footage, and intimate interviews to trace Eminemâs career journey alongside the passionate community of âStansâ who have supported him through all his ups and downs.

Alongside Eminem, the filmâs producers include his longtime manager and friend Paul Rosenberg, as well as Antoine Fuqua, Stuart Parr, Tony DiSanto, and David Schiff, working with DIGA Studios, Shady Films, Fuqua Films, Interscope Films, and MTV Entertainment Studios.
