It was a disaster all around. Wheel of Fortune fans blasted a contestant for not guessing letters when they could have gotten more money. The winner of the game show also lost out on taking home a car.

Rainey Dorbor, from Tempe, Arizona, solved the first toss-up on May 29. She enjoys cooking for others and watching reality TV.

She played against Amanda Schlefman, from St. Petersburg, Florida, and Ryan Robinson, from Michigan City, Indiana. Robinson, a man who likes to spend his free time on the beach with his husband and two dogs, solved the second toss-up.

Very quickly, Schlefman, a woman who is expecting a baby and is going to have a Wheel of Fortune-themed shower, solved “At The Crack of Dawn.” She obtained the wildcard and put $2,950 in her bank.

However, in the next round, Schlefman landed on Bankrupt and had to get rid of her wildcard. Dorbor landed on the Mystery Wedge, picked it up, and went Bankrupt. After that, the round had a lot of letters called that weren’t in the Crossword puzzle.

Schlefman solved a few letters before the turn moved to Robinson. Dorbor was then on a roll and got multiple letters. With only four letters left, Dorbor solved the “Bon Appétit” puzzle — “Dune, Nibble, Gulp, Gobble.” She was in the lead with $3,750.

“Give me a hug,” host Ryan Seacrest said after a long round.

Reddit users thought that Dorbor not calling the four “Bs” in the puzzle was a mistake since they were the only ones left and she solved it. “Rainey not spinning again for the 4 Bs was WILD. It was worth the bankrupt risk IMO,” one said.

“This woman really had NIBBLE and GOBBLE on the board and didn’t call B? Are you kidding me???” another said.

“I don’t think she knew the puzzle until she had guessed the previous letter. She would have had to spin again and probably didn’t want to hit Bankrupt,” a fan replied.

With seven letters left in the Prize Puzzle, Robinson solved “Pack A Portable Power Bank.” That put him in the lead with $9,749 and a trip to Costa Rica.

Robinson solved two of three tripls toss-ups. Dorbor solved the third. After only two letters were called, Schlefman solved “Night Owl” for the final puzzle. This gave her a final total of $4,450.

Dorbor left with $5,750. Robinson won the game with $13,749.

He chose “Person” for his Bonus Round category. Robinson brought his husband, Brian, with him.

Wheel of Fortune gave Robinson “R,S,T,L,N, and E.” He picked “D,P,M, and O.”

The puzzle looked like “_ _ _LD  PROD_ _ _.” As the clock counted down, Robinsson guessed “World,” “Bold,” “Gould”, “Product.”

He couldn’t figure out “Child Prodigy.” Robinson lost out on taking home the BMW Z4.
