Buckingham Palace and the UK government are under growing pressure to take further action against Prince Andrew after new information surfaced linking him more closely to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Following discussions with King Charles III, Andrew announced last Friday that he would no longer use the title Duke of York — a move seen as an attempt to shield the monarchy from ongoing public backlash. However, critics argue that this gesture is not enough.

“The public deserves transparency and justice,” Flynn said. “There are families who continue to live with the trauma caused by Epstein’s actions, and they deserve to see accountability at every level.”

While the government expressed support for Buckingham Palace’s handling of the matter, officials have emphasized that such decisions rest with the royal household, not Parliament.

Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson told the BBC: “Our focus must remain on the victims of Epstein. These matters, however, are ultimately for the royal family to decide.”

Meanwhile, attention has turned to Andrew’s financial arrangements concerning his residence, Royal Lodge — a 30-room estate leased from the Crown Estate. Questions remain about how the prince funds his lifestyle since stepping down from royal duties in 2019.

The palace now braces for further embarrassment as King Charles prepares for an official visit to the Vatican later this week, while Giuffre’s memoir — which reportedly includes new claims about Andrew’s behavior — is set to hit shelves on Tuesday.

In excerpts published ahead of release, Giuffre described Andrew as acting “as if intimacy with me was his birthright” and claimed his team attempted to discredit her online. The Metropolitan Police have confirmed they are reviewing reports suggesting Andrew may have sought information to smear Giuffre in 2011.
