Unspeakable, the “must-watch” true-life drama, has landed a new streaming home in the UK.

Set in the early 1980s, the series follows the rise of HIV and hepatitis C in Canada and tells the tragic story of two families whose sons were accidentally infected by tainted blood.

The scandal became one of the most notorious medical disasters in the country’s history and resulted in a federal inquiry. The victims were awarded billions of dollars in the lawsuit that followed.

Unspeakable is based on the Bad Blood books by Vic Parsons and The Gift by André Picard. It was created by Robert C Cooper, a victim of the scandal who contracted hepatitis C from tainted blood.

The limited series first aired in 2019 and now all eight episodes are available to stream for free with ads on ITVX in the UK.
