THE FINAL GOODBYE NO ONE SAW COMING

It’s official: two pillars of the FBI universe have fallen.
In May 2025, cast and crew of FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International filmed their last-ever scenes — and what happened behind the cameras left fans and actors in tears.

Both series, adored by millions worldwide, were abruptly canceled by CBS in a decision that stunned Hollywood.
As the lights dimmed and the sets were torn down, the stars took to social media with heartbreaking farewells.

 “THE END OF AN ERA” — EMOTIONAL LAST DAY FOR MOST WANTED

After six thrilling seasons, FBI: Most Wanted wrapped filming on April 30, 2025.
The final scene — shot under a night sky, with the entire main cast gathered — was more than just a scripted goodbye.
It was a funeral for a franchise favorite.

Star Shantel VanSanten shared through tears:

“Today marks the end of an era. Over 100 incredible episodes, an unforgettable family, and memories I’ll carry forever.”

Co-star Dylan McDermott echoed the sentiment, calling it “a privilege to play Remy Scott — and a heartbreak to let him go.”

The finale, titled “The Circle Game”, saw the task force take down one last domestic terror threat — a symbolic ending to a show built on courage, loyalty, and sacrifice.

A FINAL MISSION ABROAD — FBI: INTERNATIONAL TAKES ITS LAST FLIGHT

Just days later, on May 5, 2025, the Fly Team of FBI: International touched down for the last time.
The cast — including Jesse Lee Soffer, Vinessa Vidotto, and Eva-Jane Willis — filmed their final moments overseas, closing out four seasons of globe-trotting missions.

One insider described the final day as “bittersweet — they hugged between takes, cried after the last cut, and toasted the journey that changed their lives.”

Jesse Lee Soffer wrote: “It’s been an honor flying with this team. We gave it everything. Thank you to the fans who believed in us.”

CBS’S CONTROVERSIAL DECISION

Despite solid ratings and loyal viewership, CBS pulled the plug in March 2025, citing “budget realignment and strategic refocus.”
But fans aren’t buying it — petitions and hashtags like #SaveFBIInternational have flooded social media.

Co-creator Derek Haas admitted: “We wanted more time. There were stories left to tell. But we’re grateful for every moment.”

WHAT’S NEXT FOR THE FBI UNIVERSE?

While these two chapters close, the universe isn’t done yet.
The flagship FBI will return for Season 8 in 2026, and CBS is already developing a bold new spinoff:  “FBI: CIA” — set to debut in Fall 2025, starring Tom Ellis, promising higher stakes and darker secrets.

“ALL GOOD THINGS…”

For fans, it’s the end of an era — two shows gone, dozens of beloved characters saying farewell.
But as one cast member put it: “We may be off the air, but the spirit of the team will live on — in every fan who believed in the mission.”
