A gun-running empire secretly funneling assault-style weapons and drugs into New York neighborhoods has been torn apart after the FBI launched a surprise crackdown that stunned communities across the tri-state area.

Eight suspects now face serious federal charges after agents swooped in as part of “Operation Summer Heat” — a nationwide crime-fighting surge targeting violent offenders before they strike again.

Guns, Cocaine… And Deals Happening Right In Front Of Families

Federal prosecutors say the group trafficked at least 37 illegal firearms, including AR-15 rifles, extended-magazine pistols, shotguns, and semiautomatic weapons.

The weapons were allegedly sold in the middle of the day, near apartments and outside restaurants where unsuspecting locals were going about their daily routines.

Investigators revealed the firearms had traveled an alarming path from South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, and Texas before hitting New York streets.

Gun violence tied to the ring posed “a significant threat to the lives of the surrounding public,” warned FBI Assistant Director Christopher G. Raia.

Prosecutors say the alleged ring operated from August 2022 through August 2025, pumping narcotics and firepower into Staten Island, New Jersey, and the Bronx.
