But even as he trades kilts for doublets, Heughan admits that the spirit of Jamie Fraser is never far from his mind. “Jamie will always be part of me,” he said. “That story, that relationship with Caitríona [Balfe] — it’s something rare.”

The actor revealed that the two recently reunited in London. “We’re all very, very close still,” he said. “We’re always sending each other messages.
