Paramount Plus has officially announced that Taylor Sheridan’s critically praised drama Landman will be returning for a third season while the second series continues to air, thrilling dedicated fans.
Located in West Texas, the show delivers a modern story of fortune-hunting within the oil drilling business, based on the podcast Boomtown. Billy Bob Thornton shines as Tommy Norris, who throughout the second season has been wrestling with mounting pressures from M-Tex Oil, Cami Miller (Demi Moore) and his own family members.
The show’s official X account revealed the renewal, posting: “What’s better than season 2? Season 3! More #Landman coming to @paramountplus.” Fans rushed to the comments section to express their excitement, with Tayo posting: “I am not surprised, the show is as entertaining as it is educating.”

Randolph shared her aspirations for the series to continue for multiple seasons, saying: “Definitely. Even by the end of season two, there’s so much story still left to tell; so much for these characters.
“I could see the show going for a long time. We wouldn’t run out of things. I always forget the first season took place over 10 days.
“It’s such a short amount of time. You can’t have a character arc within 10 days. I mean, you can, but subtly. So there’s so much more story.”
