Kelly Ripa has a lot to celebrate after 25 years on Live!

The Live with Kelly and Mark host, 55, marked her milestone 25th anniversary show on Friday, Feb. 20 with a series of surprises, ranging from friends crashing the show to celebrity video messages to a painting made in her honor by artist David Garibaldi.

The first surprise of the day, however, came from her own family. At the start of the broadcast, her co-host and husband Mark Consuelos — who commended her on 6,000 shows and 15,000 guests since her tenure began in 2001 — welcomed their 28-year-old son, Michael Consuelos, to offer his own congrats.

Michael came prepared with some flowers, as his dad recalled him being just four years old when Ripa first began her gig on Live alongside Regis Philbin . The parents asked him for his “favorite past memories.”

“There’s so many, but if I had to narrow it down to just a handful, I’d say the swamp tour in Louisiana where I threw the snake on you,” Michael said, as the audience laughed. “That was pretty good. That was pretty awesome.”

Other highlights from Ripa’s son included “the cooking segments, all the family holiday specials we did together, and the cherry on top, winning the golden wiener.”

“I’m just looking at you and I’m like, ‘I can’t believe you’re here,’ ” Ripa told her son. “It’s such a nice surprise.”

A few other family members also surprised Ripa during the show with their own video messages, including kids Lola and Joaquin Consuelos.

Elsewhere during the episode, Ripa was presented by Guinness World Records adjudicator and spokesperson Michael Empric with her own record for Longest Career Hosting a Morning Talk Show after her quarter-century on Live.

The former soap opera actress first boarded the daytime talk show on Feb. 5, 2001, when she replaced Kathie Lee Gifford as Regis Philbin’s co-host. Following his 2011 retirement, Ripa has co-hosted with Good Morning America‘s Michael Strahan, American Idol‘s Ryan Seacrest and now Consuelos.

“You know at Guinness World Records, we love celebrating incredible achievements,” Empric said on air. “I’m so excited that I get to be here today to celebrate your incredible career.”

Other special guests during Ripa’s milestone show included Art Moore, David Muir, Jerry O’Connell and producer Michael Gelman. A few other famous pals sent in messages, including some from Andy Cohen, Judge Judy, Ryan Seacrest, Demi Moore, Jimmy Kimmel and Guillermo, Susan Lucci, Faith Ford, Ted McGinley, Anderson Cooper, Seth Meyers and Oprah Winfrey.

“I know a few things about 25 years of doing television every single day,” Winfrey, 72, said. “I applaud you. I celebrate you. Congratulations.”

“Kelly, congratulations,” her former co-host Seacrest, 51, added. “There is no other person like you on this planet. What you do for us in our real lives as your TV partner, as your friend, as people who’ve never met you before, sharing that cup of coffee every morning, they feel so close to you because of that special connection. That magic that you have.”

Ripa concluded her show on Friday by recognizing those who made it all possible.

“When I joined this show, I honestly did not believe I would be here longer than three years. I really didn’t. But it really is the family and the group of people — many of whom you will never see — that make this show what it is,” Ripa said. “And ultimately, the thing that makes this show what it is, is all of you. Our audience. Both in house and at home who let us in…”

She added, “To everybody here, thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Especially to my co-host… you brought something to us all that we didn’t know we were missing, which is your love, your warmth and your overall zeal for life. I feel like I did when i joined the show 25 years ago every day since you’ve been here.”
