Queen Camilla’s behavior toward Kate Middleton during Trump’s visit left everyone in disbelief. As Kate sat receiving a toast from Trump, all eyes were on Camilla—and no one expected her next move, which shocked both Kate and Trump in utter astonishment.
Royal fans have slammed Queen Camilla after claiming to be less than impressed with her behaviour towards Kate Middleton during a reception for the US president.
Donald Trump is currently on his second official state visit to the UK, where he and his wife, Melania, will spend two days partaking in a slew of events, including royal receptions taking place behind closed doors to avoid protesters.
But at one such event, people clocked that Camilla appeared to have a rather frosty response when Kate came over to speak to her and Melania.
The exchange unfolded rapidly, but left a lasting impression on people when it was captured on camera.
A short clip posted on social media shows Kate, Camilla, and Melania talking, with Charles, William, and Trump behind them.
After a few seconds, Camilla can be seen touching Kate on the arm and speaking to her, after which the princess awkwardly walks away from the conversation.
People took to Twitter to share their interpretations of the brief but cold exchange.
Others believed that the incident was an example of Camilla asserting herself over Kate.
“Camilla had already shown Kate who’s boss,” posted one, while another quipped: “Ok you can go now, the grown ups need to talk. Cammy is no joke.”
One person went into more depth, speculating: “You could tell Camilla was getting annoyed the moment Kate walked over and started trying to dominate the conversation between her and Melania.

“Someone had probably told her to flex her muscles, but Camilla wasn’t having it and she rightly cut her down.”
It’s not clear exactly what Camilla said to Kate; one person believed she may even have told her to ‘shoo’, writing: “I’m sure she told her to ‘shoo’. Camilla’s not playing, she dismissed her.”
Some people might have been impressed or amused, but others were left appalled by the exchange and drew parallels with the treatment of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after they stepped back as working royals.
They wrote: “Wow. The nastiness that exists within that family. Harry was lucky to get away.
“Even taking duchess Meghan out of the equation, Harry truly ESCAPED!”
Trump’s second state visit has already seen public controversy, as well as at the private events.

Video footage, that’s quickly made its way around the internet, appears to show the Queen ‘nudging’ Kate, with some reports claiming that she also ‘told her to move’. Awkward.
The interaction happened as the group of six were mingling outside Victoria House, shortly after Trump and Melania landed in the gardens via helicopter.
In the clip, the women were talking as a three, before Camilla appeared to signal for Kate to move, who then takes her position at the end of the line next to Prince William.
Camilla and Melania then briefly spoke for a few moments before the group lined up ready for the horse-drawn carriages.
One social media user shared the moment on Twitter, writing: “Queen Camilla ejected the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, from her conversation with First Lady Melania Trump.”
A second commented: “That was rude.”
While a third wrote: “What was that? It’s like she shooed her away.”
And someone else penned: “Wow. What was that from Camilla? She told her to move along…”
However, others have defended the Queen, claiming that she was simply telling Kate that the horses were approaching so she could get into position.

One user explained: “She does not – she warns her the horses are approaching and she and Melanie but also step back.”
While a second added: “No she didn’t she was letting her know the carriages had arrived.”
And somebody else agreed: “No she didn’t. She said watch out the carriages are coming. Get ready.”
Either way, today Kate and Melania got to spend more time together as they took on a joint engagement together at Frogmore Gardens to meet the Chief Scout Dwayne Fields and members of the Scouts’ Squirrels programme.
The lucky Scouts received sandwiches made with honey from Kate’s beehive, as well as a jar of White House honey for each of the children from Melania.
The youngsters, aged between four and five, were taking part in nature activities on the Windsor Castle estate to earn their Go Wild badges.

The baffling choice of who Kate Middleton was paired with for the royal procession into the state banquet last night has left people confused.
For those who aren’t up to speed, last night (17 September), King Charles III and Queen Camilla welcomed Donald Trump and wife Melania to Windsor Castle’s stunning St George’s Hall.
The regal meal brought the first full day of the POTUS’ second state visit to the UK to a close, with Trump delivering a speech at the table to round it all off.
As well as the royals, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, 160 guests were in attendance for the regal event, including British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his wife Victoria.
White House staff, lesser-known royals, and even technology and business giants all mingled as they sat at one long table. And as if it couldn’t get any more fancy, before they actually sit down, the royals and honoured guests have to enter the room in a procession.
