Family of Jason and Scarlett Faulkner says ‘I can’t believe this happened again’
In yet another unimaginable blow to an already shattered Limerick family, the loved ones of Scarlett Faulkner and her brother Jason Faulkner have spoken out in raw grief, saying: “I can’t believe this happened again.”
Just days after Jason helped carry his sister Scarlett’s coffin at her emotional funeral, the family has been hit with fresh tragedy as another devastating loss rocks them to the core. The Faulkner family, already mourning the brutal death of 29-year-old Scarlett following a vicious roadside assault, is now facing the pain of losing yet another sibling in quick succession.
Sources close to the family say the repeated tragedies have left them “completely broken” and struggling to process the back-to-back losses. Scarlett, a devoted young mother, passed away after more than three weeks on life support following the alleged attack in Birdhill, Co Tipperary. Her funeral was filled with raw emotion, with her sister pleading for justice.
Now, with Jason’s sudden death just 48 hours after he stood as a pallbearer for Scarlett, the family’s pain feels unbearable. One family member reportedly broke down, repeating through tears: “I can’t believe this happened again.”
The entire Faulkner family — described as one of Limerick’s largest and closest-knit families — is said to be in deep shock. Friends and the local community have rallied around them, offering support during what many are calling “too much sorrow for any one family to bear.”
This latest statement from the family has only deepened the sorrow surrounding the case, as questions continue to swirl about the circumstances of both deaths.
Rest in peace, Scarlett and Jason. Two siblings taken far too soon, leaving behind a family drowning in grief and a young daughter without her mother.
Our deepest condolences go out to the Faulkner family during this incredibly painful time.
