A music teacher believed to be impregnated by a schoolboy she repeatedly raped flaunted her baby bump in a series of skimpy maternity shoots days before her arrest.

Naomi Tekea Craig, 33, was a married mum teaching at an Anglican school in Mandurah, about 70km south of Perth, in October 2024 when she sexually abused a 12-year-old boy.

The abuse went on for more than a year, ending in December when she was arrested and charged with possessing child exploitation material, indecent dealings with a child, and sexual penetration of a child.

Craig appeared in Mandurah Local Court via audio link on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to 15 child abuse-linked charges, just two weeks after giving birth to her second child.

The Daily Mail can reveal the now-13-year-old victim provided a DNA sample to investigators, but he already claimed to know the baby was his.

Earlier in January, he wrote on social media there was ‘no DNA test needed’, and pondered the possibility of a baby boy taking after him.

He also spoke about the possibility of a daughter, suggesting she may take after her mother.

The Daily Mail can further reveal Craig took part in a number of professional maternity photoshoots in November and December – just days before her arrest, and while she was actively abusing the boy.

According to a series of later-deleted posts, Craig had about three shoots with different photographers when she was seven and eight months pregnant with her victim’s baby.

In the photos, Craig could be seen holding a variety of suggestive poses in a leopard print two-piece with a midriff to show off her burgeoning bump, and then again in zebra-inspired jeans with the top buttons and fly undone.

One photographer described her as a ‘Christina Aguilera doppelgänger’, while another referred to her as an ‘absolute bombshell’.

In a third shoot in Fremantle, where Craig paired a scarf with tracksuit pants, she was described as ‘fierce, wild, beautifully chaotic’ in a social media post uploaded on December 7.

Those photos were shared just one month before the birth, and nine days before she last abused the boy on December 16.

Property records show Craig and her husband bought their first home in Meadow Springs for about $700,000 in June, but neighbours said the couple had barely been at the property because it was being renovated.

‘It was a fixer-upper,’ one neighbour told the Daily Mail.

‘There were holes in the walls and the three bathrooms needed redoing, it was a big job, they only moved in a month or so ago.’

Another neighbour said she barely saw Craig at all.

‘She’d drive into the garage and you wouldn’t see her again,’ she said.

After court on Tuesday, Craig’s husband broke cover and dropped their older son off at her parents’ place.

Craig is banned from seeing anyone under 18, including her oldest child, without supervision – the only exception is her newborn.

In court, Magistrate Clare Cullen read the charges aloud, which included multiple counts of penetration of a child under 13, and after his birthday, sexual penetration of a child over 13 and under 16.

Further charges included additional counts of indecent dealings with a child under 13, and possessing child exploitation material.

Twelve of the incidents took place in the Mandurah suburb of Silver Sands, and three took place nearby in Meadow Springs.

To each charge, Craig replied: ‘Guilty, your honour.’

Craig’s relationship with the boy began on October 31, 2024, and ended on December 16, just days before her arrest.

She was represented by top Perth lawyer, Reid Hogan.

The magistrate said: ‘You’ve pleaded guilty to all charges and they’re being expedited to the District Court for what’s called a sentence mention listing.’

Craig will be required to attend court in person when her matter is up in the District Court on March 27.

To make bail, she required to front $20,000 personally, with an additional $50,000 surety.

Her bail will continue until the next mention.

She gave birth to the child on January 8.

According to the school’s website, Ms Craig was often praised in newsletters for her active role in choir and music performances.

In one newsletter from October 2024, she was pictured on the school’s website working with children between five and 12 at the ‘battle of the band rock concert’.

In the photo, she held a microphone on stage with primary school students while smiling and wearing a Nirvana t-shirt knotted at the waist.

A Christian prayer could be seen on a projector on the wall above the stage.

Following her arrest, the principal of Frederick Irwin Anglican School, Tracey Gray sent a letter to parents and carers confirming the alleged victim was not a student at the school.

‘I regret to inform you that a teacher from our school has been arrested by police and charged with child-related offences,’ Ms Gray wrote.

‘The teacher has been instructed not to attend the school.

‘The information available to the school suggests that there is no need for any concern for any children at the school.’
