SHOCKING: 3-Year-Old Girl Tortured to Death While Mother Continued Her Nail Appointment for 40 Minutes After Seeing Child Unconscious

A heartbreaking and disturbing case in Florida has sparked outrage after a 3-year-old girl died following severe abuse, while her mother allegedly continued her nail appointment even after seeing the child in critical condition.

According to police, Paisley Brown, 3, was being watched by her mother’s boyfriend, Jeroen Jarrell Coombs, 32, at a mobile home near Ocala, Florida, while her mother, Jennifer Kendrick, 26, was at a nail salon.

The horrifying situation reportedly became apparent during a FaceTime call between Coombs and Kendrick. During the call, Coombs allegedly showed Kendrick the little girl, who appeared pale, limp, and barely conscious.

Investigators say Kendrick asked him to turn the camera toward her daughter so she could see clearly. When Paisley appeared on the screen, the toddler was unresponsive.

However, instead of immediately leaving the salon or calling for emergency help, police say the mother remained at the nail salon and finished getting her nails done. Authorities say about 40 minutes passed before a 911 call was finally made.

By the time paramedics rushed Paisley to the hospital, it was already too late.
The little girl did not survive.

What investigators uncovered afterward made the case even more disturbing.

Police say Kendrick later admitted she knew her boyfriend had been abusing the children, but she said she “overlooked a lot for the sake of the relationship.”

Detectives reported that Paisley had been bound with a robe tie and painter’s tape, leaving clear ligature marks on her wrists and feet.

Another child living in the home also told deputies that the abuse had been happening before that day.

Authorities say Coombs eventually admitted that he:

  • Tied the toddler’s hands and legs

  • Dropped her while she was bound

  • Punched her

  • Struck her in the chest

before realizing he had “taken it too far.”

Paisley’s great-aunt rushed to the home and tried desperately to save the child.

“He was just standing there doing nothing,” she said about Coombs.
“I tried CPR… but I could already see the bruises.”

Police also discovered that four other children in the home, ages 1, 4, 6, and 9, appeared underweight and had been living under harsh and abusive conditions.

Both adults are now behind bars.

  • Jeroen Jarrell Coombs has been charged with murder and aggravated child abuse.

  • Jennifer Kendrick faces two counts of child neglect.

Paisley’s family says the system failed to protect the children.

“These kids slipped through the cracks,” one relative said.

The tragic death of the 3-year-old girl has left many people asking a painful question:

How many warning signs were missed before it was too late?

A beautiful little life is gone, leaving behind grief, anger, and heartbreak. 💔
