It’s been a long, and not exactly linear, journey from the beginning of Outlander to now. The final season of the time-travel romance series is wrapping up on Starz this May. If you’ve stuck by Jamie and Claire’s side since the very beginning, or dipped out but still want to see how it all ends, here’s what you need to know to catch the last ever episode of Outlander.

Starz has been airing the final season weekly on Fridays. Season 8 featured a lot of family reunions already. The Fraser and MacKenzie (and also Randall) clan has kind of never been more united, even as external forces threaten to separate them.

Where, and most importantly when, will everyone end up? Will Jamie survive? Is there a tragic death coming that none of us could have predicted? Or another surprising return from a fan favorite character? We haven’t heard from Geillis Duncan in a minute, and I feel like it won’t be a true goodbye unless she causes some kind of chaos. Hopefully, we’ll find all of that out in the series finale of Outlander, which will air at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Starz… *drumroll please*

When Will The ‘Outlander’ Finale Be Streaming?

You actually won’t need to wait as long to watch the new episode if you use the Starz app. New episodes have been dropping at midnight over there. So, if you really wanted to make a dedicated effort to avoid Outlander spoilers and watch ASAP, stay up late on Thursday night and watch into the wee hours.

However, I do want to give you this head’s up: while we don’t know the official run time of the Outlander series finale, rumors are already running rampant about it being super-sized. The series has hit us with 90 minute season finales in the past, so be prepared for anything!

While you wait, have you watched the prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood yet? The double romance, which tells the twisted and time-travel infused story of Jamie and Claire’s parents, is returning for season 2 this fall. It will absolutely fill up and warm the Outlander-shaped hole in your heart.
