What exactly did first responders encounter on that riverbank… and why are many calling it one of the most disturbing rescues ever caught on police bodycam?
Harrowing bodycam shows Florida deputy pull out tourniquet after finding Brittany Clark suffering from fatal gator attack wounds
Newly released bodycam footage captures a Florida deputy’s desperate attempt to save the 31-year-old woman fatally mauled by a 12-foot alligator last weekend.
The harrowing clip shows the officer running through the brush on Sunday and emerging at the sandy bank of the Econlockhatchee River, where moments earlier Brittany Clark was viciously attacked by a gator while swimming with her boyfriend.
Clark and another individual, presumably her boyfriend Chance Allison, are seen under a tarp next to the shoreline.

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office deputy frantically pulls out a tourniquet before the footage ends.
The 911 caller who reported the incident described Clark’s injuries as “both her arms are dislocated” and “one arm is completely off.”

Clark was a bulldozer operator and outdoor enthusiast who loved rave culture and her pets, Shady and Hokulani.

She was killed by an alligator while swimming in roughly 3 feet of water in the Econlockhatchee River.
During the attack, the alligator used a “death roll” maneuver.
Allison desperately tried to rescue his girlfriend, but she succumbed to her injuries.
“I’m just still in disbelief of what took place. We had so many things planned out and memories to be made,” Allison wrote in an emotional Facebook post Wednesday, which contained an array of photos of them together.
Clark died while in transit to the hospital as a result of “multiple blunt force injuries of the upper extremities,” according to the medical examiner’s report.
When first responders arrived Clark’s pulse was “thready,” according to the report.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission has since captured and euthanized two alligators, measuring 13 feet and 12.5 feet, as part of their investigation.
