Lorraine remarked: āIt has been such a huge part of your life, Outlander, and I know the fans will be watching, of course they will. Itās one of those shows, itās worked hand in hand.ā
To which Sam replied: āI mean the books were written over 20 years ago, and Diana Gabaldon, I mean we must thank her, sheās still writing. Sheās on the tenth book, we finished about book eight or nine.

The forthcoming series will delve into the lives of Jamieās parents, Ellen MacKenzie (played by Pennyworthās Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Condorās Nestās Jamie Roy), alongside Claireās parents, Julia Moriston (We Hunt Togetherās Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Treadstoneās Jeremy Irvine).
