Prince William has been tipped to hand a meaningful duty to his cousin Zara Tindall when he ascends to the throne.
A veteran royal expert has highlighted Zara as the âperfect fitâ for the role which is close to the heart of many members of the Royal Family.
William is understood to considering handing control of the royal racehorses Zara when he becomes King.
The late Queen Elizabeth II â a huge racing fan throughout her 70-year reign â established a dynasty of successful thoroughbreds.

The tradition continued through her daughter, Princess Anne, and granddaughter, Zara â who both share a passion for horses.
Royal expert Jennie Bond welcomed the reports Zara will one day be given the reigns in managing the Royal Familyâs racing operation.
âThere will be so many demands on Williamâs time when he is King that I think itâs a brilliant idea â if the reports are to be believed â that he might hand over racing matters to Zara,â she enthused.

âLike her mother, she lives and breathes horses â sheâs also extremely glamorous and well-liked, and it would be a perfect fit,â Bond told Ok! Magazine.
King Charles has earned more than ÂŁ2.25m through sales of some of his motherâs horses but still maintains dozens of thoroughbreds training in racing yards or stabled at the Royal Stud.
Bondâs analysis of Zaraâs potentially exciting role in the future comes as the royal is celebrating her 14th wedding anniversary with her husband Mike Tindall.

The expert believed Zara and Mike will become âhighly valuedâ allies of William when he ascends to the throne.
âAs the years go by, I think theyâll be a highly valued support for William when the time comes for him to be King.
âThey are both very close to William, and if he calls on them again, they will definitely agree,â Bond said.
As well as a sharing a love for horses, both Zara and her mother, Princess Anne, found success in the saddle themselves.

Anne was famed as a world class equestrian and won many ribbons in her sporting career.
The Princess Royal also became the first member of the Royal Family to compete in the Olympics while riding Queen Elizabethâs horse, Goodwill.
Zara continued her motherâs equestrian legacy, wining a silver medal for Team GB at the 2012 Olympics in London.
